In 2020, supporters of Black Lives Matter held peaceful marches in Japan, most notably in Tokyo and Osaka. BLM is a global political and social movement against the systemic racism black people continue to be affected by.

This selection of photographs were taken at a BLM march in Shibuya, Tokyo on June 14. It features supplementary photos taken at a march against police brutality on June 6, also in Shibuya, which supporters of BLM also attended.
