stranger than fiction

"Stranger Than Fiction" was written as an artist statement for the NAC Vol.2 group exhibition held in early 2024 with AI as the theme. My exhibit addressed AI's influence on our media landscape, but specifically regarding it's troubling impact on photojournalism and documentary photography. Presented in a mock-newspaper format alongside several framed genuine photographs, it attempted to inspire thought and increase awareness. "Stranger Than Fiction" also appeared in the exhibit's accompanying photobook, "Not a Collective vol.2". The statements shown below are from the photobook version.
